Waynesboro New Hope Shelter, Inc.
The Waynesboro New Hope Shelter was founded in 1998 by Violet and Gerry Schmid, to provide temporary housing for the homeless from Franklin, Fulton, and Adams counties in PA. New Hope Shelter is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that offers food and lodging to men, women, and children. It operates year-round and serves about 150 people a year of which one-third are children. Every resident is provided encouragement and the tools necessary to find employment and permanent housing.

Support our Thrift Shop
We appreciate donations of gently used items, including furniture, appliances, and clothing. The income generated though the Thrift Shop is used to operate the New Hope Shelter.
